The primary goal of Pulmonary Rehabilitation is to help people with chronic lung disease improve their daily lives and improve or restore the ability to function independently.
Anyone who has a symptomatic chronic lung disease and has difficulty completing daily activities will benefit from pulmonary rehabilitation.Patients with the following chronic lung diseases have shown to benefit from pulmonary rehabilitation:
- COPD (emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and asthma)
- Interstitial Lung Disease
- Cystic Fibrosis
- Thoracic cage deformities
- Neuromuscular disorders
